Bio-sensing platform for neurocardiac system investigation

Every year, cardiac diseases cause millions of deaths worldwide. These diseases involve complex mechanisms between heart and other organ systems, such as the nervous system, that are difficult to study in vivo. To address this issue, we develop an in vitro neurocardiac platform capable of sensing chemical and electrical signals and reproducing the mechanisms involved in heartbeat control. This research combines multiple sensors integrated on the platform with biohybrid systems for precise control.
